We are currently looking for Marine Surveyors to work London for various assignments worldwide. Candidates will have a technical background and experience of carrying out vessel surveys, liaising with shipyards and negotiating repair costs for insurers.
Location: London – but must be fit and willing to travel regularly

This position requires substantial experience in ocean and inland shipping transport preferably as Marine Account Executive, and you wish to move to the next level.
You must have adequate experience in the field of shipping and transportation law, as well as potential managerial skills. Acquisition talent is indispensable for this position. In-depth experience in marine insurance is required as well.
The successful candidate must have the ability to deal adequately with a wide range of small to big domestic and international Ship-Owners /Operators you should also enjoy intercultural, exposure both from Ship-Owners and Operators and within the group.
You must be a professional and fully qualified Marine P&I underwriter, as you will be responsible for the full and complex underwriting and renewal of P&I accounts and providing results on the analysis of underwriting trends. You will already posses your own key market relationships and you will need to be competent in quickly developing new ones.

The Mission:

Responsibilities:
- To manage small to big accounts

- To support and bring a technical help to the Company Marine Executive
- To advice about solution and/or market developments in P&I
- To analyse and follow all large accounts
- To recommend modifications on insurance policies
- To write Company underwriting management procedures
- Meeting brokers and clients to discuss negotiate terms and conditions.
Professional authorities' representation:
- To represent the group in Professional underwriting authorities
Profile of Candidate:

- 5-10 years experience in a P&I/FD&D Marine Underwriting
- Degree in marine law

You must have some experience in the field of shipping and transportation, as well as potential talent in acquisition. You should have experience in marine insurance.

Responsibilities:
- Appointing lawyers, surveyors, consultants and correspondents
- Ensuring Members are kept informed at all stages of the claim
- Verifying the risk / claim is covered under the Assureds entry with the facility
- Handling defence disputes as directed
- Meeting brokers and clients to discuss negotiate and settle claims.
